I hesitate to write a 5 star review because we loved the place so much, there's part of me that wishes we could keep this rare find to ourselves. As a host, Eddie was fantastic. He reached out proactively, provided helpful recommendations, and was always available to answer questions. As a location to have a cozy kickback vacation with the family, The Dome couldn't be more perfect. There was plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out yet, the design and nature of The Dome, always brought us back together in front of the fireplace, the rocking chair view of the the lake, or the dining/game table. If you have musical instruments and enjoy playing with your group, the acoustics are special. As mentioned in other reviews, one note for future guests, you will doubt yourself on the drive in. Take your time, follow the directions, and enjoy the remoteness of the single lane treck by the lake and through the woods.

The Dome was a lovely place to stay during my week in Maine. While the winter storm of the century disrupted most of our plans, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay out of the cold. Our host, Eddie, went above and beyond making sure our stay was comfortable.

Staying here was a dream! I loved every minute of it and I can’t wait to experience the magic at the Dome again in the future. Amazing host as well, responsive, friendly and checked in with us to make sure everything was to our standards. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!!!

We really needed the Dome. It was the beginning of January so understandably very cold. Still absolutely breathtaking! We would recommend four wheel drive and snow tires because we drove ourselves into a snow bank and that was kind of a situation. Dome’s got plentiful amenities, full kitchen, fireplace, tv, laundry, etc. Also loved the distinct Maine flair of the decor and accoutrements. If we had died and become ghosts, we would have been content to haunt the property for eternity. Shoutout to housekeeper Tina for getting us back to the car when the roads got icy

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dome. Great location, just the right amount of seclusion and the lake behind the house is amazing. Home is eclectic and cozy with everything you need to be comfortable. Would stay again.

This place is worth double what it costs! Incredible place, and Eddie is a dream to rent from. Incredibly clean, and the photos match the real thing. Eddie was the most proactive person I’ve had a chance of meeting, and the place was spotless. Incredible location and if I lived closer, I would come here more often!
